it's so easyto be angry at Famous People(justified or not)for perceived sins of the pastand display purifying present-day scornin public forumswith no needfor nuance or perspectiveor historical context>
shut down opposing viewsand make it absolutely sureactual or imagined crimesand dubious, outdated, chauvinistic remarkswill cause every second of their artand/or entertainmentcreated in the imperfect pastto be avoided like Video Plagueby future generationsand imprisoned in studio vaultswithout much chance of escapeWHY YOU DON'T SEE ME ANYMOREDidn’t want to be single at 50Complaining all the time about changeDidn’t want to be around peoplePronouncing the word “multicultural”As an obscenity that begins with the word “mother”Didn’t want to hear the words“violating the natural order of things”If I objected to bigotryDidn’t want to be hushed upIf I said I liked some new moviesJust as much as Old Hollywood classicsDidn’t want to hear discussions at Bob’s Big BoyAbout Alan Ladd being superior to Leo DiCaprioDidn't want to be single at 60And unable to make a woman trust meBecause of spending decadesIn the company of aging menWho preferred to remain boys
